Developing Social Skills

- Making conversation with others.

- Turn-taking

- Flexible thinking

- Social problem solving/peer conflict resolution

- Supporting maintaining of friendships

Understanding Sensory Processing

- Identifying your child's individual sensory profile.

- Your OT will analyse the data and provide you with explanations/strategies of the profile.

- Incorporate alerting or calming activities directly into your child's routine to support regulation.

Supporting Daily Routines and Daily Living Skills

- Support Executive Functioning skills.

- Provide suggestions for tools.

- Build skills with your child for greater independence in this area.

- Integrating your child's interests to support motivation.

eg. safety, danger awareness, social/emotional awareness, interoception skills (identifying internal body cues), self-help skills, personal awareness, confidence, resilience, job readiness skills.
